Young participants, up to 12 years of age, will receive a knapsack with some snacks for the hike. The price for this event includes the guided hike, a drink and the gathering around the camp fires.

Registration closes Friday at 5 p.m. The rice is $12 per person and all proceeds go to the expansion of the Discovery Farm.

The organization advises participants to wear outdoors clothing and solid shoes and advises to bring along a flashlight.
