GREAT BAY – The St. Maarten Animal Welfare Foundation hosts its annual wine and cheese party at Taloula Mango’s on the Boardwalk this Saturday, starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $55.

“We are really looking forward to this event,” says Heather Caputo, Foundation Press Secretary, “This event started at Kangaroo Court as a wine tasting but has evolved into our annual wine and cheese party. Once again, it should be a most enjoyable, as well as an informative evening.”

“Local wine purveyor Dan Kulig from Antillean Liquors promises to dazzle us again with his thoughtful wine selection,” Caputo says. “We welcome Amsterdam Cheese & Liquor sponsoring a wonderful selection of their lovely cheeses each chosen to complement the wines. These delicious platters of assorted cheeses are accompanied by breads and artisan pizza from Dominos along with fresh fruit to complement each of the various wines presented.”

This year’s proceeds will go towards the foundation’s Spring Spay Campaign which provides 50 certificates to families of limited means.

Tickets must be reserved before Saturday, as the party always sells out. Tickets are available from Su at Taloula Mango’s, telephone 520-2960, 542-1645 or Heather at 520-3838.
