Working visit to the COVID-19 Vaccine Administering Location.

Harbour View:— On Wednesday, March 3, 2021, His Excellency Governor drs. Eugene B. Holiday paid a working visit to the COVID-19 Vaccine Administering Location at the Vineyard Park Office Complex in Philipsburg. During a tour of the location, Governor Holiday received a briefing on the vaccination process from Mrs. Lista-de Weever, Epidemiologist and head of the Department of Collective Prevention Services (CPS). Minister Panneflek with responsibility for CPS, a department within the Ministry of Public Health, Labor, and Social Affairs, attended part of the visit. The Governor met and spoke with CPS staff about the experiences, the vaccination process, how the operation is going as well as the number of persons vaccinated and registered so far.
The Governor expressed that it is important for all of us on the island to get vaccinated. Vaccinations will safeguard ourselves and our loved ones and contribute to our socio and economic recovery.
Prior to the visit to the Vaccination Centre Governor Holiday had a video call with His Majesty King Willem-Alexander. During this video call His Majesty the King emphasized the importance of vaccinations to get the COVID-19 pandemic under control. The King indicated that he will get vaccinated as soon as he is called upon to receive his vaccination.
Governor Holiday has registered for his vaccination and appeals to everyone in St. Maarten to register for the COVID-19 vaccine.
