PHILIPSBURG:— The WYCCF can look back at a very successful vaccination campaign against Covid-19. During two rounds of 8 days, a total of 2.771 vaccinations were given. The first-ever Covid-19 vaccine on Dutch Sint Maarten was given to Quality Officer Claudette Rijff on February 22, and only 2 days later we had the honor of vaccinating the Prime Minister herself as well. Last week the second round of vaccinations was completed, and the Vaccination Team of WYCCF received many compliments about the smooth and friendly service and organization.

Rebecca Burack, who works in healthcare in the United States and had to cancel her yearly stay in St. Maarten, decided to offer her full week oceanfront stay at the Oyster Bay Beach Resort (OBBR) to the WYCCF vaccination team as a token of appreciation for all their hard work. The WYCCF then decided to organize a raffle among the vaccination team members, to decide who was to receive this wonderful week-stay for 4 persons. The OBBR then added 2 more prizes to the raffle of two weekend stays for 4 persons. Lastly, Office World joined in on the occasion to thank the vaccination team and filled up the prize pot with great giveaways.

The raffle was held on March the 24th, and the happy winners are Ilse Carter (1-week stay), Nancy Flanders (weekend stay), and Lensy Jones (weekend stay). Ilse expressed being extremely happy with the main prize as she is expecting her best friend to visit later this year and she will enjoy the week together with her.

This vaccination team has truly done an incredible job. Not only did the whole procedure went super smooth, but everyone was so nice, and helpful. It really made it into a very pleasant experience. The OBBR is happy to be able to give something back as a token of appreciation and is looking forward to welcoming the winners soon.

The WYCCF would like to publicly express its gratitude to Rebecca Burack, the OBBR & Office World for their generous donations and is proud of the WYCCF vaccination team.
