SXM Best Shopping Week is an expansion of the successful SXM Best Weekend that traditionally accompanies the yearly Oualichi Festival.

SXM Best Weekend over the years attracted a loyal and broad fan base of shoppers from the region, Europe, and the United States. The event will be marketed both on the island as well as in the aforementioned regions.
Like the famed weekend, its weeklong successor will present a cornucopia of discounts in many of St Maarten’s stores. By organizing the annual event in July, organizers aim to make St Maarten the best-visited island in the region in the long run in that month.
The St Maarten Hospitality & Trade Association (SHTA), the Indian Merchants Association (IMA), Princess Juliana International Airport (PJIA), and the Philipsburg Promotional Board (PPB) are supporting the initiative, hoping to reinforce St Maarten’s position as a shopping hub of the Caribbean.

Taking part in the island-wide initiative is without cost. Starting this week, digital presentations will be held. Interested shops, restaurants, and activity providers are invited to take up contact with info@sxmbestshoppingweek.com.
