St. Maarten Support Group organizing relief for St. Vincent and Grenadines.

PHILIPSBURG:— St. Maarten – The St Vincent Support group, a group of concerned St. Maarten citizens, consisting of Clarence Derby, Augustus Thomas and Natasha Wright, as well as many other volunteers, is organizing a disaster relief drive to collect items for the volcanic stricken Island of St Vincent.
The group is busy putting the logistics in place to ensure seamless organizing of items and merchandise collected for this project.

The Prime Minister of St Vincent the Honorable Ralph Gonsalves has appointed Minister of Urban Development, Seaports, Airports, the Honorable Julian Francis to coordinate all relief items being sent to the island, the St Vincent Support Group is working directly with Minister Francis to ensure proper administration and distributions of donations.

The group is also working with the K1 Britannia Foundation. Information as to when and where items can be dropped off will be forthcoming. Anyone wanting to donate to this very worthy cause should check the news media for further information.
