SMMC hosts first Meet & Greet for new Specialist.

CAYHILL:--- Last week the SMMC hosted its first Meet and Greet for a new medical specialist. This event was held as a new initiative to formally introduce new specialists to various medical professionals on St. Maarten. Medical Professionals including general practitioners were invited to the same social gathering to learn a little more about the Urology specialty and what they can expect for their patients and clients.
The Urologist, Dr. Diego Ramos who started at SMMC on August 7, demonstrated his specialties within his field followed by an open panel discussion allowing with equal opportunity to ask questions freely. The doctor was able to demonstrate via power point and videos his various specialty equipment and the innovative methods that he will utilize for his patients.
The St. Maarten Medical Center will continue to host event similar as feedback from this event proved positive. In the meantime, SMMC will continue to grow and maintain the specialties services to meet the basic health care needs of the community of St. Maarten and neighboring islands.
