PHILIPSBURG:--- SCELL, The University of St. Martin’s School of Continuing Education & Life Long Learning is consistently developing customized, innovative training opportunities, programs and courses to meet the needs of the Caribbean as a whole.
SCELL is proud to announce the launch of their Supervisory Boot Camp. The boot camp comprises of 2 days and will be held on September 20 & 21st and September 27 & 28th 2016. The training will provide new and current supervisors with 21st century practices that will directly improve their supervisory, management or leadership style.
The first day of the training participants will receive an overview of supervision techniques, and introduced to effective supervisors characteristics. Topics will be introduced such as: Own your role as supervisor and leader, build relationship of trust and respect, interact with impact in all directions, coach others to success, build a high-performing team plus much more elements of effective supervision will be integrated throughout both days.
On day two of the Boot camp-, attendees will participate in detailed role playing exercises managed by SCELL certified instructors. They will be asked to participate in a variety of diverse, interactive real world scenarios. This modern day boot camp training technique will allow participants to engage cooperatively in their learning and utilize their newly discovered knowledge immediately. All of the participants will return to their individual work environments confident, informed, prepared and willing to lead their team members with the right professional supervisory skill set.
SCELL Director, Dr. Gittens stated, our Supervisors Boot Camp was customized based on the needs of our valued SCELL clients. Many organizations have both observed and acknowledged that they’re supervisors are functioning but not at their highest level of performance. This boot camp is designed to ensure they obtain supervisory skills they need to accelerate to levels of high performance in their supervisory roles.
