PHILIPSBURG:--- The Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunrise inducted it’s newest member Debbie Karani on July 3, 2016. this took place during the Change of Board ceremony of the club.
Debbie is originally from "the land of many waters " Guyana and has been resident in Sint Maarten for 22years. She is married and hastwo beautiful children. She is a sales associate at Kay's fine Jewellery.
She brings talents of team work which she hopes will help motivate Rotarians to work as a team and strengthen the vibrancy of the Club.
Her hobbies include meeting people, cooking, reading, traveling and spending time with her lovely family.
Debbie has in-depth knowledge of fine jewelry and has served in the Parents Teacher Association of the St. Dominic High School for the past two years.
In welcoming her to the Club, President Okama Ekpe Brook noted the importance of Debbie’s outgoing personality to the Club and that now as Rotarian, she can use the opportunity to serve the community through hard work and dedication. She further hopes that Debbie’s positive energy and the vocations she brings to Rotary will help build the membership and contribute to expanding our community service initiatives.
The Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunrise meets every Tuesday at the Ginger Bread Café Restaurant, Belair Beach Hotel from 7:00AM to 8:00AM. .
