PHILIPSBURG:--- A recall was issued for Robin Hood Original All Purpose Flour and Robin Hood Flour products made by SMUCKER FOODS of CANADA. Reason for the recall is contaminated flour with the E. coli bacteria. The bacteria has been identified as E. coli (O121).
The symptoms after consuming products contaminated with E. coli can include nausea, vomiting, mild to severe abdominal cramps and watery to bloody diarrhea.
All consumers of flour must adhere to the following measures
- do not taste raw dough or batter
- clean and sanitize with hot water or chlorine bowls, utensils, or surfaces where flour was used
- wash hands after handling
- check to see if you have any of the product(s) listed below, and if you do DO NOT use the product. THROW IT AWAY.
