PHILIPSBURG:--- Detectives on St. Maarten arrested a long-time prison guard identified as Xiomara Romney on Thursday afternoon. The detectives arrested the prison guard while working at the Pointe Blanche Prison while on shift.
The prosecutor’s office stated that the female prison guard had 122 grams of marijuana in her shoes which she intended to smuggle inside the prison. Detectives from KPSM was called to the scene when the prison guard was caught, she was placed under arrest by KPSM. The case would then be handled by the landsrecherche will take over the investigation as of Friday.
