PHILIPSBURG:— Oyster Bay Beach Resort and Coral Beach Club in an effort to increase employees’ and guests’ safety is creating a second incentive for its employees to get the COVID-19 vaccine prior to June 1, 2021. The first incentive was a cash reward of $100 to every employee that presented their proof of vaccination to the human resources department. The second incentive is focused on assisting in achieving the Sint Maarten government’s goal of having 70% of the local population vaccinated by June 1st.

The new incentive will provide one fortunate vaccinated employee with a $1,000 cash reward. All employees that have shown their proof of vaccination will automatically be entered to win this significant monetary reward. The ownership and management of the resort hope this raffle will motivate more of its employees to become vaccinated.

“We are very fortunate in St. Maarten that the vaccine is readily available. Government has done a great job to make sure all residents have access to the vaccine through an easy, organized, and effective process”, said General Manager, Ricardo Perez.

Mr. Perez also noted that: “For the last few months we have found that the vast majority of our arriving guests have been fully vaccinated. We hope that by increasing the vaccination levels of our employees and the rest of the residents and visitors to the island, our future guests will feel safe when booking their vacation to St. Maarten.”
