PHILIPSBURG:— The Sint Maarten Lions Club recently sponsored the “Blue Jays” AA-Baseball team with Uniform shirts to participate in the ongoing Pelican Baseball League Knock Out Tournament. The tournament began on February 19th and is scheduled to continue through June 5th, 2021.

Sint Maarten Lions Club President, Lion Alphons Gumbs has opted to acknowledge, recognize and give back to the community by aiding with the empowerment of our people. Several organizations in the categories of NGOs, sports, youths, and individuals have been selected from within our community as recipients of this contribution as part of our 50th-anniversary celebration throughout the year. Club “As a former baseball player myself I am happy to be able to contribute to The “Blue Jays” AA-Baseball Team and even happier to see the sport being developed again”
