PHILIPSBURG:--- On March 7th, 2018 an allegation of inappropriate behavior was launch against a teacher of the Marie Genevieve de Weever School. By request of the Minister as School Board said the teacher was asked to remain at home pending the outcome of an investigation. An inquiry has been completed by the Court of Guardianship and the Public Prosecutor’s Office where it was determined that the information gathered did not find any evidence that supports the alleged accusation. As such, the teacher was asked to resume their duties on Wednesday, March 21st, 2018. The Minister thanks everyone for their corporation in this investigation as matters related to child safety are considered the highest priority and any alleged accusation is fully investigated. The Minister encourages the healing process to take place in the interest of all concerned.
