Pond Island:--- TelEm Group has announced that as of December 27, 2021, it will no longer be accepting and processing personal cheques of the Windward Islands Bank (WIB).

The announcement follows the circulation of a WIB notice informing clients that the bank will discontinue the issuing of personal checkbooks as of October 1, 2021, and will not be accepting or processing WIB cheques after January 3, 2022.

“All TelEm Group customers currently using WIB personal cheques to make payments are advised to give attention to the WIB notices concerning accepting and processing of personal cheques and also to the December 27th, 2021, deadline date that TelEm Group will stop accepting and processing WIB personal cheques.”
The company will be circulating the above message to all TelEm Group customers via print media, its social media platforms, and company website (www.telem.sx).

TelEm Group customers unable to use their WIB personal checks for payments are invited to make use of the company’s online payment systems or to utilize other payment methods at the main building on Pond Island or other TelEm Group branches locations.

TelEm Group apologizes for any inconvenience caused by these developments, which is the result of a decision taken by WIB to no longer issue or process personal cheques of its customers. In the meantime, TelEm Group will continue to accept WIB Business cheques.

Please email our Customer Care Representatives at info@telemgroup.sx for further information or for any additional questions.
