PHILIPSBURG:--- Immigration and border patrol under the helm of the Ministry Justice along with the Ministry of VSA will begin conducting controls to ensure all immigrants that obtained their working and residents permits are in the same situation when the permits were issued.
Minister of Justice Anna Richardson said that St. Maarten was hit hard by COVID -19  and by Hurricane IRMA and MARIA in 2017, and there are many people that are out of work, she said that to ensure crime does not escalate these controls will begin.
