PHILIPSBURG:— The Finance Committee of Parliament will meet in a session on February 18, 2021. The committee meeting, which was adjourned on February 1, 2021, will be reconvened on Thursday at 14.00 hrs.
The agenda points are:
1. Discussion on matters relating to the moratoriums given to individuals and businesses by the individual banking institutions
2. Any studies or analysis performed by CBCS to determine the viability of the commercial banks in their exercise to assist their clients by providing temporary relief in the form of a moratorium
3. Discussions the CBCS has had with the Banker’s Association concerning the sustainability of the moratoriums granted thus far
4. The reason(s) the debt service ratio of 37 percent is no longer allowed when granting loans
