~Is Emil Lee using his position in government to enrich himself? ~

PHILIPSBURG: --- Atlas Construction Company recently received a contract to the tune of $140,000.00 to construct the perimeter wall of the Pointe Blanche Prison.
So far, no public bid was held for the project yet Atlas Construction Company, which is owned by Minister of VSA Emil Lee secured the contract, this is based on the report finalized by Independent Consultant Engineering (ICE).
The Minister who cloned himself in the words transparency and integrity has to now explain the people of St. Maarten how kosher is it for his company to secure such a contract while is he is a member of the Council of Ministers.
The Minister has made it his duty to visit construction sites with labor inspectors as he uses his position in the Council of Ministers to harass other local construction companies, the latest being at the Princess Juliana International Airport (PJIAE).
Emil Lee has given the people of St. Maarten many false promises, he ridiculed local politicians for being corrupt while he is busy executing his self-enrichment plans, using his wife as a guise as Atlas Construction is now registered in his wife’s name.
The Minister who has been working on the New General Hospital Project broke all barriers since contracting now bankrupt company INSO and its parent company FERFINA S.P. A, a story SMN News broke on December 5th.
The Minister whose core duty is to ensure that the labor laws and due process is respected have done everything possible to cover up the wrongdoings at SZV the social insurance company he is using to finance his pet project the New General Hospital.
Emil Lee ensured he stopped the long overdue audit at SMMC and at SZV referral department, he has silenced department heads while accusing them of all sorts of things. He chose to conduct inspections even though he is not an inspector all of which has been tolerated by his colleagues in the Council of Ministers.
