~Entrepreneurs from both sides of the island still have a chance to apply for a chance to showcase their business globally.~

PHILIPSBURG:—The Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC) St. Martin application deadline has been extended to Sunday 20th June 2021. The extension was decided on by EWC Caribbean to allow national organizations to encourage maximum participation of creative, innovative, and globally relevant Caribbean businesses to enter into the competition. Ultimately it is EWC Caribbean’s hope that Caribbean countries secure as many slots as possible in the Top 100 entrepreneurs selected to compete in the EWC Global Finals happening in Saudi Arabia in November.
The EWC St. Martin Organizing team, therefore, encourages innovative entrepreneurs on both the French and Dutch sides of the island to seize this opportunity to register to compete in our national pitch competition in July. Application is free of charge and once submitted, you get access to more than $25,000 in perks from partners such as Google Cloud, HubSpot, and more digital resources. The winner of our national competition will go on to represent St. Martin in the EWC Caribbean Regional Finals which will bring them one step closer to being selected in the Top 100 Global Entrepreneurs.
EWC is open to entrepreneurs from all stages of business development including idea, early, or growth stage, and NGOs. EWC also provides tools and resources to help grow your venture. This includes EWC Accelerates, which is a virtual training and mentorship program that helps entrepreneurs hone their skills and increase their chances of winning.
The announcement of our first five entrepreneurs from the first round of applicants will be made this week on Islandpreneur, happening 3 – 4 June 2021. These entrepreneurs will be joining the EWC St. Martin Top 10 finalist competing in the national finals in July. Therefore five slots remain available to be secured by during this extended call for applications.
EWC St. Martin’s national host, Cristal Legrand, and the organizing team encourage St. Martin entrepreneurs to rise to the occasion to showcase their businesses and proudly represent our nation at this global event. Applications must be completed in full detail and submitted to be considered.
The deadline to enter the national competitions is Sunday 20th June 2021. There is no application fee to ensure all entrepreneurs have an equal opportunity to participate.
