PHILIPSBURG:--- Close friends and families of the late Mi-Paben paid their last respects to St. Maarten Cultural Icon on Monday afternoon at the Emerald Funeral Home.
Undertakers at Emerald had the body of the late Mi-Paben dressed in his cultural garments and standing among some key cultural items such as the coal pot.
The three hour viewing gave those that knew Mi-Paben to see him one last time as the great actor Mi-Paben in with hat, and walking stick as the 101 years old man. Mi-Paben will be laid to rest on Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at the Cole Bay Methodist Church.
