PHILIPSBURG:--- The Special Robbery Unit is presently investigating an armed robbery which took place on Sunday May 1st at approximately 05.45 p.m. in School steeg. The female victim was walking in the alley when she was suddenly approached by the suspect who demanded the she handed over her two gold necklaces she was wearing. When she refused the suspect pulled a gun and pointed it at the victim. He then pulled the trigger but the gun did not go off. The suspect then pulled the chains from the victims’ neck and took off running towards Back street and through several alleys where the victim lost sight of the suspect.
