PHILIPSBURG:--- Dr. Evashevski and Wellness Counselor Rivera, Miguel of the A.U.C. visited the ambulant team at Mental Health Foundation (MHF). During this meeting, the possibility of providing training on crisis intervention to the Safety and Security Supervisors at A.U.C. was discussed.
“The goal of this training will be to provide the security supervisors with the techniques used to offer short term immediate help to individuals who have experienced an event that produces mental, physical, emotional and behavioral distress,” stated MHF executive assistant Cyrille Brooks. “Crisis happens to everyone and intervention can take many forms, for example family support
