The extension is intended to encourage greater participation in the tender process and provide interested bidders with sufficient time to finalize their submissions.

VROMI considers broad participation in the tender process important to ensuring a fair, transparent and competitive procurement process. Receiving multiple submissions allows for a thorough comparison of proposed pricing, technical capabilities, qualifications and overall value for the project.

A competitive tender process strengthens the basis for evaluation and supports informed decision-making, while helping to ensure that the project achieves the best possible outcome for the people of Sint Maarten.

Interested bidders are therefore encouraged to take note of the revised submission deadline and make use of the additional time provided to submit their proposals.

Further information regarding the revised tender deadline and submission requirements can be obtained through the official tender documentation.

The Ministry of VROMI thanks all interested parties for their continued interest and participation in this important infrastructure project.
