Understanding that a key component of entrepreneurial success, in this increasingly digital age, is quality telecommunications services, TelEm N.V. has joined this project as the official telecommunications provider. As such, the entire bootcamp and pitch competition will be streamed and headquartered at TelEm’s offices. Management of TelEm understand the importance of entrepreneurs and innovators to stimulate the economy and as such are looking forward to a continued partnership to support this dynamic group with services that fit their needs in the increasingly borderless economies we function in.

Earlier in the year, TelEm partnered with PWR Agency to host Islandpreneur which was a huge success attracting more than 650 registrants from 35 countries. Due to this success, and the increasing awareness of having strategic partners to effectively support entrepreneurs in building successful business, TelEm has decided to continue its relationship throughout 2021.

Michiel Parent, Chief Commercial Officer of TelEm Group of Companies explains: “With the economic uncertainties our islands are facing right now we need more entrepreneurs, innovative ideas and fresh initiatives. What Ife and her team pulled off earlier this year was incredibly professional and truly impressive, so we are proud to announce that we will extend our partnership into the next year. By providing PWR the digital infrastructure they need to organize this event, TelEm is excited to do their part in making this Global Entrepreneurship Week a great success. We hope it will motivate a large group of young talents to continue to work on their ideas even harder and turn them into business successes.”

iFounded 2020 is designed to serve as a catalyst to stimulate entrepreneurship on these island economies that have been hit hard by both the compounded effect of the global pandemic. It is hoped that the impact of iFounded produces more economic resilience and innovative collaboration for growth. Winners of the pitch competition will receive $10 000 in smart investment, which includes a combination of coaching, services, and cash prizes.
