The announcement was made during the Foundation’s Sponsor Appreciation Happy Hour on October 29, which honored the businesses and organizations that made Science Week 2026 possible. The evening featured a presentation on the impact of sponsors’ contributions, followed by an awards ceremony.

“The growth we are seeing, from the introduction of new programs to increasing school participation, demonstrates that our mission to inspire interest in STEAM and innovation is making an impact. We are deeply grateful to every sponsor, participating school, business, volunteer, student, and parent. None of this would be possible without their support, and we look forward to what 2027 will bring,” said Dr. Rolinda Carter, President.

Held March 9 to 21, Science Week 2026 reached more than 1,200 people. Highlights included:

*700+ visitors to the National Science Fair, including 500+ primary school students along with guests from St. Eustatius, Saint Martin, Anguilla, and the USA; 47 students presented 26 projects;

*61 students from six schools on field trips to seven host organizations, up 15% from 2025;

*A second-place finish and two special awards for SXM Tech Tides at the regional robotics challenge in St. Kitts.

The Foundation thanked its Elite sponsors, BTP, NAGICO Insurances, and The Setai St. Maarten, and all Gold, Silver, and Bronze sponsors, and acknowledged Foresee Foundation’s donation of robotics kits and accessories after Science Week.
