SINT MAARTEN (SUCKER GARDEN) - The New Season Advisory Bureau (NSAB), in partnership with the Sucker Garden Community Minded Leaders Foundation, is pleased to announce an upcoming Town Hall Meeting designed to provide residents with valuable information, resources, and opportunities while encouraging meaningful community engagement.
The free community event will take place on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lions Den in Sucker Garden. The meeting is open to the entire community, with a special focus on empowering youth and strengthening opportunities for residents.
Under the theme of “Information. Opportunity. Empowerment. Together, We Build Stronger Communities!”, the Town Hall will address three key areas:
*Employment Opportunities.
*Business & Entrepreneurship Opportunities.
*Training & Skills Development.
The event will feature presentations from representatives of the Chamber of Commerce, the Department of Labour, and NSAB, providing attendees with practical information on entrepreneurship, employment opportunities, workforce development, training, and skills development.
Following the presentations, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a panel discussion and Q&A session, allowing community members to ask questions, share perspectives, and engage directly with the featured speakers.
“Community development begins when residents have access to information, opportunities, and the confidence to take action,” said Ms. Concincion Founder of NSABF and the president of the SGCMLF. “This Town Hall is intended to create a space where community members can connect with key institutions, learn about available opportunities, and contribute their voices to conversations about the future of our community.”
NSAB is an organization dedicated to education, training, counseling, and workshops, while the Sucker Garden Community Minded Leaders Foundation is committed to enhancing and addressing the needs of the community. Through this partnership, both organizations seek to equip and empower residents with information and opportunities that can contribute to stronger families, greater economic participation, and a more resilient community.
Residents are encouraged to attend, bring a friend, and take advantage of this opportunity to connect, learn, and become more actively involved in shaping the future of their community.
