SINT MAARTEN (GREAT BAY) - Hearing-free period during the summer holidays, that was the announcement coming from the Joint Court of Justice regarding their summer recess.

In connection with the summer holidays, a hearing-free period applies at all branches of the Joint Court of Justice.

This runs from July 6, 2026 to August 14, 2026. During this period, fewer hearings are held than usual.

In principle, no hearings take place, with the exception of summary proceedings, other urgent matters and some hearings already scheduled.

The counters of all branches will remain open during regular office hours. The Joint Court of Justice wishes everyone on Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten, Bonaire, Saba and Sint Eustatius a happy summer holiday.
