SINT MAARTEN (SUCKER GARDEN) - The President of the Sucker Garden Community Minded Leaders Foundation, Ms Meredith Concincion, recently convened a productive meeting with community presidents from across St. Maarten to discuss the strengths, challenges, and collective needs of their respective communities.
The gathering created a constructive space for open dialogue and cooperation, with leaders exploring how communities can better support each other and work in closer partnership to enhance the overall well-being of resident’s island wide.
Ms. Concincion expressed her satisfaction with the outcome of the discussions, emphasizing that the exchange revealed a strong shared desire for unity and progress. Community presidents were equally pleased with the initiative and welcomed the opportunity to collaborate, emphasizing that joint efforts will lead to more impactful and sustainable results for St. Maarten.
During the meeting, Ms Concincion shared:
“Leadership is not about working in isolation; it’s about partnership. Together we are strong, and this collaboration marks the beginning of a new chapter for St. Maarten’s communities.”
Currently, many organisations operate independently, which limits the potential impact of their work. Leaders agreed that joining forces and pooling resources would be far more beneficial for all communities. As part of this renewed commitment to collaboration, the presidents will meet quarterly to continue discussions, refine strategies, and coordinate future plans.
The Community Presidents will continue their efforts to encourage cooperation, strengthen inter-community networks, and support initiatives that contribute to a more united and resilient St. Maarten.
