SINT MAARTEN (PHILIPSBURG) – NV GEBE in a press statement on Thursday, March 17 informed the general public and its customers that the company was hit by a ransom software virus “Black Byte” which has interrupted the company’s computer systems.
“We are advising the public that with immediate effect not to open any GEBE emails or attachments until further notice.
“Due to the aforementioned, NV GEBE offices will be closed to the public until further notice,” the company said in a press statement on Thursday.
