SUCKER GARDEN--The developers of Merriment Green Community have announced the launch of The Keys Market, a new commercial development built around principles of sustainability and resilience. Developers have begun promoting the project online and are now inviting entrepreneurs to apply for space in what is described as the island’s first fully solar-powered and hurricane-resistant marketplace.

Located on Kings of the Sea Drive in Sucker Garden, The Keys Market is constructed from repurposed shipping containers and designed to operate year-round with solar power and waste management systems. The development is part of the larger Merriment Green Community, a planned sustainable neighborhood focused on green living and local enterprise.

Entrepreneurs are being encouraged to apply for available spaces across several categories, including food and beverage, artisan goods, wellness products, retail, and professional services. The market offers three tiers of participation: daily market stalls for small vendors, traditional vendor spaces for those with existing setups, and premium container-based business units available for lease or purchase.

According to the development team, The Keys Market aims to create an ecosystem that supports small businesses while promoting environmentally responsible operations. In addition to vendor spaces, the site will feature community facilities such as a children’s play area and on-site security.

Interested business owners can apply through the official registration portal at: https://caribhousing.marlinyard.org/tkm-interest-registration-form/
