MARIGOT: After a canceled edition in September, the Quartier Orléans cultural market is back for everyone’s pleasure this Saturday and Sunday, October 15 and 16, from 2 to 7 pm.

The organizers, Eléa, a graduate in agronomy, and her brother Obadiah, a self-taught artisan and renowned pizza maker, invite the population to discover or rediscover the joys of their local, artisanal and cultural market during the two afternoons of the coming weekend.

The stands will always be focused on diversity, with a special emphasis on local crafts and products: sweet potato or coconut confits, succulent pudding, homemade caramels, the now famous Linda’s candies, local honey that will charm you forever, pies, fresh fruit juices, the unavoidable trompe l’oeil soaps in the shape of a cupcake, cake or lollipop that you can also use as a decorative object, vegetarian or vegan pizza prepared with love by Obadiah in his artisanal oven built with recycled bricks, or plants and aromatic herbs of which Eléa and her father hold all the secrets.

Art will find its place among the stands with original paintings and mirrors. As for the children, the younger generation will be able to have fun with, among other things, the miniature golf course and the bowling alley. The Quartier d’Orléans Cultural Market opens at 2:00 pm and is located at number 11 of the impasse Mont Saline which is on the left side of the Lake & Dail’s Snack Bar. Just follow the signs that will lead you to this market, which was recently visited by the second vice-president of the Collectivité Bernadette Davis, and Frantz Gumbs, deputy for the constituency of Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy.

A shuttle service will be available every hour starting at 1:30 pm from Marigot and Orient Bay. With this new edition in October, the cultural market of Quartier d’Orléans will once again enhance its reputation.
