GREAT BAY--St. Maarten has been included as one of the destinations in the first Caribbean season of Aman at Sea, the new ultra-luxury cruise brand preparing to debut its first vessel,Amangati, in 2027.

According to Cruise Arabia & Africa,Amangatiwill make its Caribbean debut in late 2027 following its inaugural Mediterranean season. The 94-guest yacht is currently under construction at the T. Mariotti shipyard in Italy and is scheduled to enter service in the Mediterranean in spring 2027 before repositioning across the Atlantic later that year.

The Caribbean program is scheduled to run from November 21, 2027, to January 2, 2028, and will focus on three areas of the region: the Leeward Islands, the Windward Islands and the Dutch Caribbean.

St. Maarten is listed among the Leeward Islands calls, with the vessel expected to visit Philipsburg as part of a series of five- to eight-night voyages across the Antilles. Other destinations in that segment include Gustavia in St. Barthélemy, St. Kitts and Nevis, Jost Van Dyke, Virgin Gorda, Saba and Little Bay in Montserrat. The itineraries will also feature a Marina Day in Barbuda and a beach stop at Prickly Pear Cay off Anguilla.

The inclusion of St. Maarten places the destination within a select group of Caribbean ports being featured during the first regional deployment of Aman at Sea. With capacity for only 94 guests across 47 suites,Amangatiis being positioned in the ultra-luxury segment, where smaller vessels, destination-focused itineraries and extended time ashore are key parts of the guest experience.

For St. Maarten, the call reflects the island’s continued relevance in the high-end cruise market, particularly as luxury and small-vessel brands seek ports that can offer access, culture, shopping, beaches, dining and regional connectivity. Philipsburg’s inclusion also supports St. Maarten’s broader role as a cruise and tourism hub in the northeastern Caribbean.

The Windward Islands portion of the Caribbean season will sail between St. John’s, Antigua and Bridgetown, Barbados, with calls including Îles des Saintes in Guadeloupe, Portsmouth in Dominica, Anse d’Arlet in Martinique, Soufrière in St. Lucia, Canouan in the Grenadines and St. George’s, Grenada.

The final regional program will focus on the southern Caribbean, with itineraries between Bridgetown and Oranjestad, Aruba, taking in Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao. Calls will include Bonaire, Willemstad and Tobago Cays in the Grenadines.

The inaugural Caribbean season is expected to conclude with a two-night New Year’s anchorage at a private resort in Nevis, where guests will welcome 2028.

Before its Caribbean deployment,Amangatiwill complete its first Mediterranean season, including voyages through Spain, the French Riviera and the Adriatic. It will then sail a 13-night Atlantic Passage from Málaga to Antigua, with calls at Cádiz and Ponta Delgada in the Azores.

Aman at Sea is a joint venture between Cruise Saudi and luxury hospitality company Aman. The project represents continued Saudi-backed investment in the luxury cruise sector and expands Aman’s hospitality brand into small-ship cruising.
