Over the weekend, several shootings took place in Dutch Quarter, Simpson Bay and Bush Road, leaving several people injured, including one seriously.
\nThe first shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. Saturday in Dutch Quarter. According to KPSM agents who quickly arrived on site, the male victim is in serious condition and had to be urgently transferred to the Sint Maarten Medical Center. Additional shootings occurred in Simpson Bay around 19 p.m., near the Travel Inn. The victim was taken care of by rescue teams and transferred to SMMC. Law enforcement was called an hour later for more gunshots in the Dutch Quarter area. An individual was rescued by the medical team and transported to SMMC. Finally, other shootings took place last night in the Bush Road area. Several investigations are underway to try to identify and arrest the alleged perpetrators of these criminal acts. _AF\n\n\n\n\n
