The victim was flown to Fundación Valle del Lili Hospital in Cali, Colombia, on Sunday to receive further medical treatment. Andy. H., who was in critical condition at the time of his air evacuation, was burned on more than 90% of his body during the explosion. Police said they were investigating the cause of the explosion.

Andy. H. and a friend were in an apartment in Pointe Blanche on Friday when the explosion took place around 17 p.m.

The seriously injured woman was also evacuated by air to Panama due to the severity of her injuries

In a press release issued Sunday, police said the explosion took place at an apartment complex located in Pointe Blanche. After receiving numerous calls regarding the incident, several patrols, ambulances and the fire department were quickly dispatched to the scene.

Initial investigations indicate that the explosion occurred when one of the victims tried to turn on the stove, which caused a sudden and powerful explosion. _AF
