The day after the tragic accident which cost the life of a young scooter rider in Cay Hill in the Dutch part, a new road accident occurred this time on the French side, requiring the medical evacuation of a two-wheeler driver to the Guadeloupe University Hospital.

Emergency teams were called to a serious road accident which occurred on Monday June 10 around 16:30 p.m. on the RN7, near the central kitchen in Hope Estate. For reasons still unknown, the driver of a scooter lost control of his machine. The gendarmerie specifies that the 53-year-old victim was wearing a bowl-type helmet at the time of his fall. Although his vital prognosis is not in jeopardy, the seriousness of his injuries nevertheless required medical evacuation to the Guadeloupe University Hospital.
