As part of its "Summer Holidays 2023" campaign, the Secours Populaire Français with Copain du Monde is organizing, for the first time, solidarity Olympics in Saint-Martin this Saturday, July 22 for the attention of 300 deprived children. vacation.
This unforgettable day, which aims to promote intercultural encounters between children from the Caribbean basin and allow them to create holiday memories, will bring together children aged 6 to 12 from Anguilla, Guadeloupe, Saint-Barthélemy, Saint- Martin, and Sint Maarten. The initiative brings together a dozen local organizations and surrounding islands. This solidarity day is supported by the Collectivity of Saint-Martin, the prefecture, the DRAJES, the CAF, donors and partner companies including the Rudy's Kids Foundation. On the program: introduction to Olympic sports from 9:30 a.m. at the Marigot Sports Hall such as badminton, baseball and volleyball, aquatic and fun activities at the Galion beach such as paddle and aquagym as well as awareness-raising workshops on health and the environment. A meal will be shared at noon with musical entertainment at the stadium in the afternoon.
