A ceremony was held Tuesday at the main post office in Marigot to present the stamps. President of the tourism office Valérie Damaseau, Director Aida Weïnum, and Luciana Gomez in charge of Branding and Commercial who was the project coordinator, were present.

On La Poste side there was Director of Service for Saint Martin and Saint-Barthélemy Ludovic Bidard, Déléguée Territorial for La Poste Group Barbara Monpierre, Mirlene Corenthin, Commercial Director for La Poste, and Katy Coladone, in charge of the commercial space.

The stamps come in a book of eight stamps depicting colourful images of Saint Martin captured by different photographers. The books are on sale for 12.50 euros and 15.00 euros in France. The print run is 5,000 books in Saint Martin and 5,000 in Guadeloupe and can be renewed. The stamps are valid for posting to any location in the world.

“There was a collection in 2025 which La Poste did internally but this is the first time they are working with our tourism office and we have been able to use all the photographs we have in stock, to showcase the best of Saint Martin, for example from the sea, the restaurants, our heritage and so forth,” explained Damaseau.

“This is just the first collaboration with La Poste. There is something else in the making but that is going to be a surprise. It’s a great opportunity because a lot of people come to the information kiosk on the waterfront wanting to get stamps and postcards. Now they can tell their families they are staying in Saint Martin.”

Added Aida Weïnum: “Saint Martin is not only on the map but now visible to the whole world.”
