GREAT BAY--Minister of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Traffic and Telecommunications (TEATT) Grisha Heyliger-Marten has signed the national decree officially appointing Mrs. Judianne Labega-Hoeve as Director of the Bureau Telecommunications and Post (BTP) St. Maarten.

Labega-Hoeve brings more than twenty-five years of leadership experience in the telecommunications, postal, and regulatory sectors. She joined BTP in 2012 as Chief Financial Officer, where she played a key role in strengthening the bureau’s financial systems and supporting its long term strategic stability. In 2021, she was appointed Interim Director and has since guided the organization through complex regulatory environments, while advancing modernization and closer alignment with global industry standards.

Her formal appointment as Director recognizes her professionalism, competence, and long standing commitment to St. Maarten’s digital and communications landscape.

“I am pleased to share this important administrative update,” Minister Heyliger-Marten stated. “This week, I had the honor of signing the decree officially appointing Mrs. Judianne Labega-Hoeve as the Director of the Bureau Telecommunications and Post (BTP) St. Maarten. Her appointment reflects her professionalism, competence, and deep commitment to St. Maarten’s digital and communications landscape. I extend heartfelt congratulations to Mrs. Labega-Hoeve, wishing her strength, wisdom, and continued success as she leads BTP into its next chapter.”

The Ministry of TEATT looks forward to continued collaboration with BTP under Labega-Hoeve’s leadership as St. Maarten further develops a robust, secure, and future ready telecommunications and postal sector.
