The Saint Martin Water and Sanitation Establishment (EEASM) announces the launch of a new project to extend the wastewater sanitation network in Quartier d'Orléans.

This strategic initiative aims not only to expand the coverage of the collective sanitation network of the local wastewater treatment plant, but also to minimize environmental impact by reducing the dispersion of untreated wastewater into natural ecosystems.

Project Details

According to the attached technical plan, the work will be carried out on the following roads: Impasse du Grand Fond, Impasse Alexandre Adams and Rue Quartier d'Orléans (RN7), between Impasse du Grand Fond and Rue Gumme Celler. The project, entrusted to the company GTP, will begin on November 13, 2023 and will extend over a period of two months. It represents a total investment of €490 excluding tax, entirely financed by European funds (REACT EU).

Traffic and Access Information:

During the work phase on the RN7, alternating traffic will be put in place and regulated by traffic lights. Access to the Grand Fond and Alexandre Adams dead ends will be restricted during working hours, from 7 a.m. to 17 p.m. Specific communication will be sent to the residents concerned before the start of the work in order to avoid any inconvenience linked to the blocking of their vehicles.

Message to the Population

EEASM would like to apologize for any disruption this work may cause. We remain fully committed to minimizing nuisance and listening to the concerns of local residents. This project is a crucial step in our mission to improve the quality of ponds and beaches in our territory.
