The Friendly Longe-Côte association is offering a free introductory session to coastal walking on Saturday, July 4th at 9:30 am on Petite Plage, in Grand-Case. Open to anyone over 15 years old, this session is limited to 20 participants to ensure quality instruction.
Sponsored by Thomas WallynThe club, which invented coastal walking in Dunkirk in 2005, organizes sessions led by a certified coach. This discipline consists of walking in the sea with the water level reaching the diaphragmby adopting a slight forward lean and using a paddle for propulsion and balance. Depending on the skill level, various equipment, such as hand paddles, adapted paddles, or longe-ups, can also be used. No swimming skills are required to try this sport.
Participants are invited to come equipped with water shoes or old sneakersAn opportunity to discover an accessible physical activity, combining muscle strengthening, endurance, and the pleasure of practicing it in the open sea.
