Annual Presidente SXM Poker Run, scheduled to take place Aug 26 - Aug 28, 2016 will connect boaters for an enjoyable game at sea and sportsmanly competition. It also identifies with being a generous charitable enterprise. As any Poker Run fanatic knows, the match will serve as a showcase for impressive powerboats and extraordinary venues. The Presidente SXM Poker Run board
wishes to recognize the generosity of the participating sponsors (CC1 St. Maarten, Yacht Club Port de Plaisance & Cadisco) and intends to pay it forward, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Nature Foundation St. Maarten. A reputable non-profit organization working to promote conservation of St. Maarten’s environment, including the beauty of the St. Maarten Marine Park, which protects the coral reefs, marine turtles, sea grass beds and all ocean life in the area.

Presidente 2016 SXM Poker Run, to be held the weekend of August 26-28, is an invigorating game of chance where participants gather aboard powerboats & visit 5 locations (called “Stops”). Each Stop offers entertainment and food & drink specials as they wait excitedly for the first boats to hit their shore and draw their card in discreetly sealed envelopes. In true St. Maarten tradition, there will be a pre-registration afternoon beach party Saturday Aug. 27 at the Buccaneer Beach Bar. Come Sunday morning Aug. 28 participating boaters will gather in anticipation at the Yacht Club Port de Plaisance Marina just prior to the days festivities for a Sea & Safety briefing. Immediately following the Poker Run, boaters will meet back at Yacht Club
Port de Plaisance, where they will draw their final card and celebrate in grand style with an evening of food & drinks, live entertainment & prize giveaways. This up-lifting fun filled weekend is open to everyone to attend and have a good time!
