The Saint-Martin Water and Sanitation Authority (EEASM) continues the testing and commissioning operations of the new wastewater collection network from Grand-Case.
Several streets will be affected by works between November 3rd and December 18th:
- RN7, rue Franklin-Laurence and impasse des Pieuvres: from November 3 to 4.
- Rue des Écoles: from November 5th to 18th.
- Impasse des Écoles: from November 19th to 20th.
- Lambis Alley: from November 23 to December 4.
- Lambis Alley and Grand-Case Boulevard: December 7 and 8.
- Grand-Case Boulevard: from December 7th to 11th.
- Route de l'Espérance: from December 14th to 18th.
These interventions should allow for to test and finalize the commissioning of the vacuum network installed in Grand-CaseAdapted to the particularly flat and sandy terrain of the area, this system required the installation of 427km of pipelines, 287 junction boxes and 78 transfer tanks, for an investment of €5 million. The objective now is to make this equipment fully operational and to encourage local residents to connect their homes to the public network. An important step towards limiting wastewater discharges into ponds and the marine environment and to sustainably improve the quality of bathing water.
