For this sixth edition from November 11th to 22nd, the tourism office (OT) unveiled a program blending unmissable events and new features, with an original theme: coconut, chosen as the star ingredient of the year. Guadeloupean chef Jimmy Bibrac, winner of the Best Recipe in France 2020 award and Chef of the Year for the French Antilles and French Guiana, will be the program's patron. The ambition remains unchanged: to solidify the island's reputation as a must-visit gastronomic destination in the Caribbean.
The festival will once again highlight all food-related professions, from producers to restaurateurs and artisans. The chefs Amanda Whit (Soualiga Lime) et François Baly become this year the ambassadors of Saint-Martin gastronomy, with the mission of promoting local know-how far beyond the island.
Students in the hospitality and catering program of Daniella Jeffry Vocational High School will once again be fully involved in the event, immersed alongside the professionals. They will participate in welcoming guests, providing service, and competing in their own dedicated competition, with the ambition of succeeding Méloick Bouboune, winner of the 2025 edition.
Collect the flavors
The Festival Tables are included in the menu of the 6th edition, with a featured restaurant each evening in a different neighborhood. Gastronomy Passport signs its return: a meal in a participating establishment, a stamp, a photo shared on social networks tagging the OT, and prizes to be won. Around fifty restaurant owners are participating in the festival today.“We are relaunching this concept, which was launched in 2023, but in map form. With over 200 restaurants on the French side, we hope to involve even more establishments,” explains Valérie Damaseau, president of the Tourist Office..
The beating heart of the festival
Le Gastronomy Villageinstalled the 13 and 14 November on the Marigot seafront (entrance €5), will bring together around thirty exhibitors, culinary demonstrations, and the festival's main competitions. Among the new features is a pizza maker competitionalongside the private chef competitions (at the Jardins de Bellevue), the barbecue (rue de la République), the mixology competitions and the categories Authentic Star, Beach Star, Gourmet Star, City Star et Dessert, to finally designate the best restaurant in Saint-MartinVisitors will also find cooking workshops for children and adults, barista and wine tasting introductions, as well as the must-sees Sip n' Cook et Wine & Cheese Pairing. A charity evening the plan is to benefit the vocational high school November 19, before the closing party organized on 21 and a Sip to Sunset on the 22nd at Anse Marcel as the ultimate gourmet experience.
The festival will be sharpening its knives from the start November 8 with brunch at Loterie Farm, before its official launch on November 10 in Grand-Case.
