SIPALIWINI – Districtscommissaris (dc) Armand Jurel van Boven-Suriname, Coeroenie en Boven-Saramacca, zegt dat de bewoners van Kwamalasamutu nu ook over stroom en water beschikken. De burgervader geeft wel aan dat het voorlopig niet mogelijk is om 1×24 uur stroom te leveren, omdat dat veel brandstof zou kosten. Water wordt drie keer per dag gepompt, zodat de burgers het kunnen opslaan om te gebruiken. Om brandstof te besparen, zijn de pompen niet de hele dag aan. De Districtsraad houdt alles in de gaten. Van 18.00 tot 23.00 uur worden de generatoren aangemaakt, zodat de mensen stroom hebben…[+]
