Arrestatie voor poging diefstal waterleidingmeter

PARAMARIBO – De politie heeft na afstemming met het Openbaar Ministerie een man in verzekering gesteld omdat hij geprobeerd heeft een waterleidingmeter te stelen in Paramaribo. Hij was bezig de waterleidingmeter te forceren toen een bewaker hem op heterdaad betrapte. De bewaker hield hem staande, maar de man vluchtte naar een bosschage. De bewaker is de verdachte achternagegaan en kon hem uiteindelijk aanhouden. De bewaker alarmeerde de politie en droeg de man over toen zij arriveerde. De verdachte blijkt een oud-bekende te zijn van de politie…[+]
