Three women robbed

PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten — On December 10, at 12:35am, three females were robbed of their belongings as they walked along Juancho Yrasquin Boulevard.

The three ladies were on their way back to their boat, which was anchored at the Pointe Blanche Pier when they were suddenly attacked by an armed man dressed in dark clothing.

Their purses were taken during the attack. One of the women was struck on the head, but luckily she did not suffer any injuries that needed medical attention. Their wallets were later found in the surrounding area. Detectives are busy investigating.

Supermarket robbed

PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten — On Sunday, December 11, during the evening hours, the police patrol was dispatched to Conch Shell Supermarket on A.Th. Illidge Road where an armed man dressed in a hooded sweater robbed the supermarket of an undisclosed sum of cash.
