PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten — Police arrested another suspect in connection with the ongoing criminal investigation case called “Menam”.

The “Menam” case is the daylight armed robbery at Oro Diamante on Front Street where officer Gamali “Benji” Benjamin was shot and died two days after from the wounds he sustained.

The arrest took place on Monday November 9th in the Maho area without incident. The 34 year old male suspect with initials O.A.C. was arrested for aiding in the planned robbery.

The suspect remains in custody for questioning and further investigation. His detention has also been extended with eight days as the investigation continues.

The police department is still requesting anyone who may have any information that can assist in this investigation to get in contact with police department by calling the tip-line # 9300 or 54-22222.
