Finding employment opportunities as a jobseeker, and finding perspective employees for your company as a business person, has just become easier! Thanks to the Ministry of Public Health, Social Development, and Labor together with the Ministry of Education this can be done through their new website www.opportunity.sx
The new website which is under development allows job seekers and employers to register, make a profile, and browse job opportunities or potential candidates in their chosen category.
After the job seeker is registered, they can easily search and apply for jobs. They get the opportunity to fill in information about their education, personal, job history and more, in order to share with perspective employers.
The business community/Employers will also have benefits using this exciting website.
After they register and create their profile, they can easily connect to potential employees, view profiles, post job vacancies quickly and efficiently, and manage their publications.
The best part is that it’s absolutely free!
It is important to note that this website is launched in a testing phase. Since Minister Lee is all about openness and transparency, he would like to ask the public/community to give feedback. With the constructive feedback, we can strengthen the core of website to continually improve it.
The Ministry intends to eventually get the labor Department involved where they would have a role in moderating all business registrations on opportunity.sx, to make sure that they are also registered at the Labor Department. Once the Labor Department does not see that company registration in their database, the company will be asked to come in and register their business at the Labor Department before accepting their registration on Opportunity.sx
