LIAT statement regarding employee in Barbados

JOHN’S, Antigua – The management of LIAT (1974) Ltd confirmed that one of its employees is in police custody in Barbados, assisting law enforcement officers with their investigations into a drug-related matter.

The employee in question was taken into custody on Tuesday, April 26, shortly after arrival at the Grantley Adams International Airport on a flight from St. Lucia.

The management of LIAT wishes to indicate its full support for, and cooperation with, law enforcement authorities in relation to any investigations where its cooperation is required.
