Marigot, Saint Martin —  On Friday, December 11, 2015,  at around 14:45 jewelery “Goldfinger” jewelry was burglarized  by Four criminals were carriers of which two with an ax and a sledgehammer.

Traveling on scooters they arrived in Marigot and began destroying the glass of the establishment. It was a smash and grab action.

The amount of their booty, consisting mainly of luxury watches, amounted to several hundred thousand. The investigation was assigned to the Brigade of Saint Martin.

On Monday, January 11, 2016, three individuals were arrested at their homes by the Mobile unit of the  Gendarmerie Squadron Baccarat and Intervention Platoon and Monitoring Intervention Gendarmerie of St. Martin. The three suspects were taken into custody.

These individuals have identified another accomplice who, too, was taken into custody on 12 January 2016 in the evening. The four individuals were presented to the public prosecutor of St.Martin  Wednesday, January 13, 2016. At the end, they were remanded in custody and a judicial investigation was opened for “burglary and assembly and association criminals. ”

Goldfinger » de la Marina Royale Marigot : Le vendredi 11 décembre 2015, vers 14h45, la bijouterie « Goldfinger » subissait une attaque par quatre malfaiteurs dont deux étaient porteurs d’une hache et d’une masse.

Circulant en deux roues, ceux ci s’étaient engouffrés dans la Marina Royale à Marigot et acharnés sur deux vitrines sécurisées dont l’encadrement de l’une d’elle avait fini par céder et tomber au sol. Le montant de leur butin, constitué essentiellement de montres de luxe, s’élevait à plusieurs centaines de milliers d’euros.
L’enquête avait été confiée à la Brigade de Recherches de Saint Martin.

Le lundi 11 Janvier 2016, trois individus ont été interpellés à leur domicile par le Peloton d’Intervention de l’escadron de gendarmerie mobile de Baccarat et le Peloton de Surveillance et d’Intervention de la Gendarmerie de Saint Martin. Ces trois suspects ont été placés en garde à vue. Celles ci ont permis d’identifier un autre complice qui a, lui aussi, été placé en garde à vue le mardi 12 janvier 2016 dans la soirée. Les quatre individus ont été présentés au magistrat du parquet de Basse Terre le mercredi 13 janvier 2016.

A l’issue, ils ont été placés en détention provisoire et une information judiciaire a été ouverte pour « vol avec effraction et en réunion et association de malfaiteurs ».
